Underwater Photography

An Underwater Photography Course is held in conjunction with our Taka II trip and follows a 2 day format.

The purpose of the course is to give divers and understanding of Underwater Photographic Equipment and operating principles. The course includes use of a Nikonos V camera and strobe for 2 dives, and approximately 2 hours tuition on board Taka II. 2 rolls of slide film is included in the course and this film is reviewed during the trip. One dive is taking Macro and the other is Semi-Wide Angle Photography.

Passengers need to supply two rolls of film (Fujichrome, Ektachrome or Agfachrome) or two rolls of print film.

Smile for the camera

The cost of the Underwater Photography Course is $150 AUD.

Extra Camera Hire is available on board Taka II.

After the first day diving the Cod Hole or the Coral Sea, we will be processing 1 roll of slide film per passenger and holding a slide show. This service is only on the first diving day of each trip.

The cost of this is $9 AUD per roll.

We film the action at the Cod Hole and Coral Sea, which we insert into a feature tape. This tape is for sale at the end of a trip for $60 AUD.
